Dear Ms. MacDougall:

In follow-up to our telephone conversation on the morning of January 9, 1999, I want to thank you for your information about the Pine Inn's housekeeping employment picture. Although no openings exist at present, I have enclosed a copy of my resume, as you suggested, for future consideration.

While working for the Bay Lodge for six years, I was in charge of a 30-room wing of the Lodge. My duties included cleaning, changing laundry, ordering supplies and training new housekeeping staff.

Also, I have extensive experience as a housekeeper for three different families in private homes. In each case, I was always recommended for my high standards of cleanliness and reliability. I am willing to work shifts and weekends.

When an opening does become available in the housekeeping department, please contact me for an interview.
